Which Smartphone should you buy? : Under 10K

 There are so many options under a particular price range that, sometimes, the consumer gets confused on which one to buy. Here\’s a guide that may help you decide which one to buy. 

NOTE : THE NUMBERING HERE ISN\’T THE RANKING OF THESE SMARTPHONES

1) The first contender on our list is the newly launched Redmi 9 Prime

Some of its highlights are : 

1. A 5020 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

2. An HD+ display, which is quite rare at this price bracket.

3. Mediatek Helio G80 SoC, which is a tad better than the G70 in terms of benchmarks, but that doesn\’t make a huge difference in daily life.

4. A Quad Camera Setup : A 13 Megapixel Primary Camera, An 8 Megapixel Ultra-wide angle lens, A 5 Megapixel macro camera and finally a 2 Megapixel Dept Sensor. The last one here is just to attract the customer and doesn\’t really make a significant change in the quality of the image and background bokeh can be done using the software.

5. Price : 9999 INR

2) Up next, we have the realme Narzo 10A

Here are some of its highlights :

1. The Narzo 10A is a slight upgrade over the realme C3

2. It too has Mediatek\’s Helio G70 SoC, which performs really well, even when intensive tasks are thrown at it. 

3. The battery capacity is also 5000 mAH with support for reverse charging.

4. The cameras : Here comes the upgrade. The Narzo 10A has the extra macro camera, which takes good shots. Other cameras are : The first being a 12 Megapixel f/1.8 lens and a 2 Megapixel Dept Sensor. The selfie shooter is also the same as the C3 : 5 Megapixel 

5. Software : realme UI : Quite close to stock android. Nice experience.

6. Price : 8999 INR

3) Next, we have the realme 5 

The realme 5 was launched in the mid of 2019. Even then, we have this in our list as it provides good value for money even now.

Some of its highlights are : 

1. The realme 5 comes with 4000 mAh which was the standard norm in 2019. Though it has a lower capacity battery, it provides a little less battery life when compared to the likes of the Narzo 10A and Redmi 9 Prime. (Reason : It has an efficient processor)

2. Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 here, performs smoothly, giving you a lag free experiance in day-to-day tasks. But the realme 5 is a bit behind when it  comes to GPU performance. The Helio G70 and G80 on the Narzo 10A and Redmi Prime respectively outperform the Snapdragon 665 when it comes to Graphically intensive tasks.

3. The cameras here are quite similar to the ones on the Redmi 9 Prime : A 12 Megapixel Primary, an 8 Megapixel Ultra-wide, A 2 Megapixel dept sensor and a 2 Megapixel Macro.

4. Price : 9999 INR

4) The fourth, and the last one on the list is the Samsung M01s

This is the only non-Chinese smartphone that we have in our list.

Some of its highlights are :

1. The M10s has a 4000mAh battery, which is good to last you a day, when used for casual tasks.

2. It has the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, which is good and can do casual tasks with ease. But here\’s where the problem arises : When you throw graphically intensive tasks at it, it struggles.

3. The cameras here also may sound poor when compared to the cameras of the ones listed above.That\’s because the cameras of smartphones listed above are more in number,which is just to attract the customer. The M01s comes with a 13 Megapixel Primary and a 2 Megapixel Dept Sensor, which take nice shots under well lit surroundings.

4. Software : OneUI built on top of Android 9, gives you a good experience, with some of Samsung\’s own features.

FINAL VERDICT : 

Declaring a particular smartphone as the best isn\’t possible, because it all depends on the requirements of the user. 

1. If you are into gaming and want your the software to be closer to stock android : NARZO 10A

2. If you are into gaming and photography and  do not care about software  : REDMI 9 PRIME

3. If you aren\’t into gaming and want a \”respected\” processor in your smartphone with good cameras : REALME 5

4. If you want  Non-Chinese brand, and do not care performance : SAMSUNG M01s.
