There was so much hype created around the Redmi Note 10 series via a number of tweets, followed by a poll, asking netizens on what they preferred: A 120Hz LCD display or a 60Hz AMOLED. The results of the tweet were not at all surprising, everyone wanted an AMOLED display. To be continued….
After all the hype, the Note 10 Series (Redmi, of course) was launched on the 4th of March. Reminiscent of the Note 9 Series, the Note 10 series too had a lineup of 3 aggressively priced smartphones, namely the Redmi Note 10, the Note 10 Pro and the Note 10 Pro Max. Though there’s lot to talk about the Note 10 and the Pro Max, I felt that the Note 10 Pro deserved way more talks than the other two, simply because it’s so great VFM (Value for money).

With that said (typed, actually ;)), here’s what the Redmi Note 10 Pro’s got to offer:
Performance
The Redmi Notes were always known for their best-in-segment performance. Not sure if that legacy’s continued, as the Redmi Note 10 Pro’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 732G. This’ what helps you click 64 and 108-Megapixel (on the Pro Max) shots. This being a successor of the 730G, which by itself was a really good chipset, is not expected to disappoint. What’s got to be noted though, is that it ain’t got a 5G modem. Though, it’s no great deal, #justsaying 🙂
Display:
If you’re here after reading the intro, you’d probably be expecting the Note 10 Pro to have a 60Hz AMOLED display, wouldn’t you? But Redmi’s gone a level further and provided a 120Hz AMOLED, which at this price point, is so amazing to have. Though it’s got an AMOLED display, the finger scanner is side-mounted. The size of the punch-hole too is reduced, thanks to the AMOLED display.
Cameras:
As far as numbers on cameras are concerned, Redmi’s not a brand that’d disappoint you. It’s got a ‘Quad’ camera setup: A 64-Megapixel Primary, an 8-Megapixel Ultrawide, a 5-Megapixel ‘super’ macro and the highly honoured 2-Megapixel depth sensor. The primary 64-Megapixel sensor can shoot 4K videos at 30FPS, thanks to the 732G and 1080P at 60FPS. Also, it’s got a 16-Megapixel selfie shooter.
Battery:
The second most impressive aspect of the Note 10 Pro, after its pricing, is the battery. It’s got a 5020mAh battery, which when run out of juice can quickly be refilled via a 33W fast-charger included in the box. It’s quite rare to see smartphones have high capacity battery and yet have fast charging.
Others:
I didn’t want to have a separate heading covering the build of the smartphone which’s why I’m including it here. The Note 10 Pro is no doubt the BEST built phone is this segment. It’s got glass both on the front and back, frosted on the back and Gorilla Glass 5 on the front.
The Note 10 Pro also retains the headphone jack and the IR blaster.
Pricing:
The base variant of the Redmi Note 10 Pro costs ₹16,999, which comes with 6 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of UFS 2.2 storage. This smartphone, with a glass back, which some flagshi_s (Fill in the blanks : T / P. Answer in the comments) too don’t (*coughs* S21 *coughs*) and a 120Hz AMOLED display, is surely a heck of a deal!
That was it for the blog.
