Recently, just a few days after the launch of realme 7 and the 7 Pro, realme also launched their \’younger\’ narzo (it is \’narzo\’ and not \’Narzo\’) 20 Series, which comprises of 3 models: The most basic, budget-oriented narzo 20A, which provides good value for what it comes packed with; The mid – narzo 20, which too has an amazing spec-sheet which is actually effective in real life. Next comes the \’Pro\’ variant, the narzo 20 Pro. Here are a few of my thoughts on the phone, the narzo 20 Pro:

The realme 7 was launched at a price of 14,999 INR, which came with a Helio G95 processor, a 64 Megapixel Quad-camera setup, a 5000 mAH battery with 30W charger in the box and a decent software, \”with no banned apps\”.

On the other hand, realme, for their younger audience, launched the narzo 20 Pro with almost similar specs and same price. Just as I say \’same price\’ you might wonder, what\’s really different from the realme 7 here. So here are a few highlights of that phone:

  1. A Helio G95 Processor, which has amazing CPU and GPU clock speeds. Especially, the GPU here is phenomenal.

  2. A 48 Megapixel Quad Camera Setup: 48 Megapixel Primary, an 8 Megapixel Ultrawide, 2 Megapixel Dept and Macro Cameras.

  3. Power provided by the 4500 mAH battery, with a massive 65W Dart Charger in the box, filling up the juice in less than half an hour.

  4. Oh, how could anyone forget this, the display: A Full HD+ LCD panel with an amazing 90Hz Refresh Rate, combined with realme UI, gives an amazing experience while browsing through the software and also comes into picture while gaming.

  5. MediaTek Processors have always had an issue of heating up. But here, realme claims to have included a Carbon Fibre Cooling System to avoid heating up of the device.

So now, let\’s compare. What has really changed?

Processor – Same

Cameras –  Downgrade ( Just on Paper. Doesn\’t really make a huge difference in real-life)

Display – Same

Battery – Downgrade (Compensated by the 65W charger in the box – The realme 7 gets a 30W charger)

Price – Same

When compared, the specs of the realme 7 and narzo 20 Pro are very very similar. Just small downgrades with the battery and camera. The battery downgrade being compensated by CRAZY fast charging and the camera not really making a difference. With this kind of neck-to-neck competition between 2 phones from the same brand, which one do you think will win? No one knows! It\’s so very confusing that anyone would go mad picking one of these.

NOTE: No doubt, the phone is really very good and provides amazing value for money.

But I feel, it kind of confuses the consumer and I\’m sure that would not be an intension of any smartphone brand. This blog is being published with the only intension that people should know what their smartphone brand is trying to do to them. This doesn\’t mean I\’m against realme, I hate realme and all that. And if you\’ve been reading my older blogs, you might have seen the way I praise realme. I felt realme is launching new phones very soon and in turn confusing the consumer.
