Recently, Motorola launched its first 5G phone, the Moto G 5G. This time, Moto, going back to the \’g\’ series, could see the \’real\’ comeback of Moto. The previous Moto \’g\’ series smartphones were one of the best offerings in the market. So, what\’s the Moto G 5G got to offer and should you consider it while buying a new smartphone? Find out here:

NOTE: This blog is totally based on on-paper specs, which is expected to be close to the real-life experience. Here are some of its highlights:

Performance:

Moto G 5G is the first ever smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm\’s Snapdragon 750G Processor, which, according to Motorola, is quite capable to competing the Snapdragon 765G (Present on OnePlus\’ Nord). The Snapdragon 750G has got a 5G Modem built-in, meaning it could get you amazing internet speeds, if you\’ve got access to 5G networks. The 5G Modem, can also get you better 4G speeds, giving it a upper hand when compared to the 4G modems. As Motorola claims, the 750G keeps up the expectations, easing through day-to-day tasks and also handling graphically intensive tasks like gaming. The 6GB RAM adds on to the good experience.

Display:

The Moto G 5G comes packed with a massive 6.7 inch IPS LCD 60Hz display, with a resolution of FHD+ (Which Motorola calls \”Max Vision display) and support for HDR 10, meaning it can show more colors. Though display being really good for media consumption, doesn\’t impress when it comes to one-hand usage, thanks to its huge size.

Battery:

Motorola has crammed in a 5000mAh battery here, making it quite a hefty phone (doesn\’t look though), weighing 212g. This, coupled with the 20W Fast Charger (which Motorola calls TurboPower charging) in the box, makes it a really good deal.

Cameras:

Moto G 5G has got a Triple-Camera setup, making it one of the very few ones having it: A 48-Megapixel Primary, an 8-Megapixel Ultrawide and a 2-Megapixel Macro. Luckily, there is no 2-Megapixel dept sensor :). Looking at Moto\’s previous performance when it comes to cameras, this is going to do a decent job.

Software:

One of the main highlights of the Moto G 5G is its Software. While companies are opting to add their own skins on top of Android, Moto\’s chosen to go with Stock Android with very minor tweaks (My UX is what they call it), allowing bit of customization. This places it way higher than the competition.

Extras:

And oh yes, the legacy continues. Moto\’s retained NFC on the Indian variant too, as always :), meaning you could totally harness NFC\’s advantages (Contact-less payment, instant pairing with devices)

Pricing:

The only variant available right now, is 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage, priced at 20,999 INR. A GREAT DEAL! It can be bought through Flipkart, here

Having listed all of these, I would blindly recommend you to consider this while buying a new phone around this price range. And this isn\’t the only intension of the blog. I want to make people aware of brands like Motorola, which are really UNDERRATED.

Hope you liked it 🙂
